A graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts, his feature screenplay Bud and Sandi Leave New York was selected by Francis Ford Coppola as a Finalist in the 2026 American Zoetrope Screenplay Competition.

Gerard works as a video editor, and has created content for GQ, Showtime, and The New Yorker. He regularly performs improv comedy in New York City, on a house team at the People’s Improv Theater. He has also trained with UCB and Second City.

He is a lover of celluloid and shoots his projects on Kodak Film whenever possible.

When he was a kid, his favorite movie was Rocky 5.
